NOTES on 3rd ed. of Diccionario Básico del mixteco de Xochapa - Rick Barnes 11/20/14 1. Sharon Stark published this edition pretty much on her own in 2013. In late 2014, I asked her for permission to post a copy to the website and to make a print-on-demand version available through Lulu. She agreed, but in the process of putting the files together for these projects, we found a number of small errors that made it into the original Snowfall print run. I did a review of the entire work and found a few typos, some formatting errors (e.g. text partially hidden behind tables, non-Unicode legacy fonts in non-printing characters that were missed during the conversion to Unicode, inconsistant use of styles, etc.) There were also some pagination errors, especially between the three Word documents that make up this work. I gave the files back to Sharon and asked her to try and correct things before we published in the planned formats. 2. 2015-02-12 Sharon returned the Word files with the corrections made. There is still a small formatting problem in the TOC (i.e. the front-matter page numbers are coming out in upper-case). It appears to be a problem with the style and may not be worth fixing. The temp PDF is ready for bookmarks. Need to get the cover from Susy. 3. 2015-02-27 Additional formatting and pagination problems were discovered in the Grammar section. They seem to have been caused by the styles used. Sharon has redone all the styles in this section and given me a new source file just for it. 4. 2015-03-06 Tom & I have reviewed it and it appears ready to be posted to the website & to have a Lulu version created.
